Commonwealth crew, this is your site. This ship and this site will thrive with your contributions. Please feel free to add and edit pages. At this time, almost all the pages are open to editing by anyone, however, we do request that you log into the site to do so. (If the trolls come by, or an unwanted Hirogen intereferes, we will limit editing and page creation to verified and logged in members only) To log in and create an account (if needed), go to the top right of this page and click login. To edit, each page has an edit tab. Clicking it will open an edit window. It helps to have some wiki edit skills, however, there is a rudimentary editor to help. More information can be found here.To create a page, just go to the search box on the left, and type in what page you want. If the page you want exists, you will be taken there. If not, a new page will pop up and it will ask if you want to create that page! (Ain't that great?) However, Please refrain from uploading copyrighted material unless you own the copyright and agree to its use on this site.
Anyway, if you want or need to add a link on the main page, let us know. Also, ff you have anyother questions, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
User account creation is disabled. New users will be added only on orders of the CO and XO.
USS Commonwealth NCC-74670
|Commanding Officer:||Tracy Lilly|
|Executive Officer:||Michael Martinez|
Welcome to the official website of the USS Commonwealth, NCC-74670. The USS Commonwealth is a correspondence chapter of STARFLEET: The International Star Trek Fan Association. For over 40 years, STARFLEET has provided Star Trek fans a way to meet each other, make friends, have fun, give back to their communities, and show that the dream of Gene Roddenberry can live long and prosper. On the local level, members can gather with other fans for a variety of enjoyable activities. On the international level, STARFLEET offers our members a wealth of resources that you won’t find in any other Star Trek fan clubs. In addition to a great set of membership materials and our regularly-electronic newsletter (STARFLEET Communique), STARFLEET offers members the chance to get involved with STARFLEET Academy,the STARFLEET Marine Corps,STARFLEET Strategic Operations, STARFLEET Medical, Pet Fleet, and much, much more. We even have a group of academic monetary scholarships that are awarded to deserving STARFLEET members each year.
STARFLEET Chapters are grouped into Regions, each Region covering a different geographical area. These regions will often hold gatherings where crews of many Chapters get together for conferences, parties, charity events, and a whole range of other activities.
STARFLEET is divided into hundreds of local Chapters, each named as a different starship or space station. Chapters are where the members of STARFLEET get together locally to make friends, meet, and have a fun time. Our many Chapters are spread out across the United States and also in foreign countries all over the world.
STARFLEET Chapters range in size from ten members to several dozen. Some get together and meet in person while others are correspondence Chapters where members who live far away from each other can still exchange messages via e-mail, telephone, and even good, old-fashioned postal mail.
As a correspondence chapter, we are quite free in our capabilities to support our community, but that comes at a cost of direct contact with each other. However, by serving as a correspondence chapter, we are proud to have members from several states. At present, we have members from the US states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota. We perform acts of community service in our respective neighborhoods each year. We also partake in several options available from STARFLEET such as the STARFLEET Marine Corps and STARFLEET Strategic Operations. You may check out these programs from the 111th MSG and/or the SOU-111 pages.
In the more realistic world, we are a correspondence chapter. This means that we do not officially meet in person. All chapter business is held through correspondence, generally by email. We are presently assigned to the Tennessee sector of STARFLEET Region One.Several of our members participate as STARFLEET Marines. Some participate in the STARFLEET Strategic Operations. Nearly everyone participates in coursework from STARFLEET Academy and the STARFLEET Marine Corps Academy and most perform some manner of community service, but it is not required.
As a member of STARFLEET: The International Star Trek Fan Association, you may contact the ship’s captain by e-mail at CO@usscommonwealth.com. The captain will provide you with instructions on how to join STARFLEET and the USS Commonwealth. You may also join STARFLEET by using visiting www.sfi.org which will provide you with information on how to join STARFLEET. At any rate, we would love to have you aboard.
The USS Commonwealth is registered under the vessel registry NCC-74670 as an Intrepid-Class Light Explorer. Our assignment is to continue the mission of exploring strange new worlds and seeking out new life and civilizations. As such, we participate primarily in deep space exploration, first contact missions and charting. It is our mission to go where no starship has been before and bring that information back to STARFLEET Command.
We are always looking for new and exciting things to do as a chapter of STARFLEET, so please contact us if you would like more information about how to join the USS Commonwealth or STARFLEET. Feel free to have a look around, enjoy a glass of real Aldebaran whisky from the Crew Lounge (just don't tell STARFLEET Command), and enjoy your visit onboard the USS Commonwealth!
